As part of the redevelopment, the communal areas are being upgraded to meet current fire safety regulations, including the installation of an Automatic Opening Vent (AOV) in the stairwell to enhance smoke ventilation and emergency safety measures. The project also requires new utility connections, with upgraded electrical and water supply infrastructure to support the residential conversion.
The block will be fully electric, incorporating energy-efficient measures to optimise sustainability. Water-saving fittings are being integrated throughout, ensuring reduced consumption and long-term environmental benefits. To further enhance efficiency, the building’s insulation is being upgraded to achieve a high EPC rating, ensuring lower energy costs and improved thermal performance. Additionally, CCTV systems and data cabling infrastructure are being installed to enhance security and connectivity for residents.
